This is a double strand chain, faceted onyx and freshwater pearl necklace accented with heart-shaped connectors and a centerpiece of a beautiful dressage rider cameo in a rope frame. I've used two sizes of onyx beads for this necklace, using a larger in the center of the top strand.
I had never seen a cameo with a dressage horse on it, so I designed this one and had it manufactured for me. It is cast resin. It depicts a horse doing a piaffe (trot in place) or passage (an elevated trot) with an elegant dressage rider dressed in the traditional hat and coat with tails that upper level riders wear. The cameo measures 40x30mm.
I offer this necklace in both silver-plated brass and golden antiqued brass. It extends to 20 inches. I wanted to make a very special elegant necklace, and I achieved that. However, it is a more complex design that takes more time to assemble and the pricing reflects that.
